AC Shadows Introduces Bizarre AoT Collaboration for Thanksgiving
In a unexpected partnership that defies conventional predictions, the game developer has revealed an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing complimentary extra story content for Shadows players.
Strange Questline Revealed
According to the formal statement, "A strange confrontation pulls characters Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh mission, where whispers of forbidden practices and terrifying transformations resonate through the obscurity." The plot features a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a secret cult.
The adventure centers on "strange tests and a terrifying foe" and is available to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Settings and Changes
The preview showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser ends with a powerful sequence showing a character, probably the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Prizes and Bonus Features
Players who finish the mission will obtain an unique katana alongside several artifacts concealed throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also features in-store Attack on Titan item packs, including:
- Titan-based attire for Yasuke
- Mikasa costume for Naoe

Newest Free Story Addition
This patch also introduces the game's newest no-cost story episode, titled "A Puzzlement." This humorous adventure teams Naoe and Yasuke as they swap characteristic techniques: Naoe debuts a dramatic interpretation of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke learns non-lethal stealth takedowns. Loyal to its name, "The Mystery" also contains a fresh environmental puzzle that may eventually clarify some unresolved questions from the main storyline.

The series earlier included a 2020 collaborative story linking Assassin's Creed: Valhalla with Makoto Yukimura's Vinland Saga.
