White House Denounces 'Democrat Hoax' as Additional Jeffrey Epstein Images Made Public
Democratic lawmakers have published a additional set of what they described as "disturbing" pictures from the property of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, depicting notably Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, and former British royal Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
The opening batch of 19 images—some of which have been seen before—along with another 70 issued later on Friday constitute a tiny fraction of the almost 100,000 images handed over to the House investigative panel, which is probing the behavior and associations of Epstein.
The fallen money manager was a victim of an apparent self-inflicted death in a New York detention cell in 2019 after being charged with sex-trafficking charges.
Notable Figures in the Images
Featured among the notable figures seen in the opening set are public figures such as movie maker Woody Allen; Microsoft creator Bill Gates; and Richard Branson, originator of the Virgin empire.
Donald Trump is featured in three of the first nineteen images. In one, he is photographed with six women, whose faces are obscured.
Administration Response
The White House reacted to the release in a statement, accusing Democrats of purposefully "cherry-picking" the photographs for political purposes and to "seek to establish a false storyline."
"That partisan falsehood against President Trump has been time and again refuted," a presidential representative stated, insisting that "the Trump administration has accomplished more for Epstein's survivors than Democrats have at any point by frequently urging disclosure, making public numerous documents of documents, and urging more inquiries into Epstein's liberal connections."
Congressional Democrat Comment
The images were released lacking captions, but as stated by a California Democrat and ranking member of the oversight committee, they prompt further inquiries about Epstein's associations with wealthy individuals.
"The moment has come to stop this White House cover-up and bring justice to the victims of Jeffrey Epstein and his powerful friends," he stated in a comment.
The release of these materials coincides with the oversight committee proceeding with its probe into the Epstein case.
